32+26! A Masterful Trade! Rockets Should Be Envious

Before this year's trade deadline, the Hawks traded Trae Young to the Wizards, getting CJ McCollum and Corey Kispert in return.

To be frank, the Hawks originally had low expectations for the 34-year-old CJ, just intending to separate after his contract ends this summer to free up salary space.

But this guy was truly impressive; initially joining as a backup for the Hawks, he gradually ascended to become the perimeter core through his tough, solid ability.

In the past regular season, CJ played 41 games for the Hawks, starting 25 times, averaging 28.8 minutes per game with 18.7 points, 3.1 rebounds, 4.1 assists, and 1 steal, with shooting percentages of 45.6%, 35.7%, and 74.8%.In two playoff games this year, CJ started both, scoring 26 and 32 points respectively, averaging 29 points, 3 rebounds, 3.5 assists, and 1 steal per game, with shooting percentages of 54.8%, 36.8%, and 55.6%, leading the team to a temporary 1-1 tie with the Knicks.

CJ was born on September 19, 1991, a 1.91m tall & 1.99m wingspan combo guard, the 10th pick in the 2013 draft. Throughout his NBA career, he has played for the Trail Blazers, Pelicans, Wizards, and Hawks, delivering standout performances on each team, averaging over 20 points per game for ten consecutive seasons.

Unfortunately, because CJ's peak years were in the star-packed Western Conference, he never made an All-Star team; his most notable honor is winning the Most Improved Player award in the 2015-16 season.

Fortunately, CJ may lack accolades but earns plenty; incomplete statistics show his total NBA career salary income has reached $279 million, and he is expected to surpass $300 million soon.

It's particularly worth mentioning that Rockets media figure Bradeaux tweeted with envy and resentment: "Extreme respect to CJ; after acquiring him, the Hawks actually became a better team, which is absolutely insane."

Before this season started, Fred VanVleet suffered a torn right knee ACL and was ruled out, but the Rockets didn't bring in a new point guard; instead, they let Amen, originally a swingman who hadn't developed a shooting package, take his place.

In Game 1 of the first round of this year's playoffs, the Rockets without Durant lost 98-107 to the Lakers. In this game, Amen played about 43 minutes, shooting 7/18 (0/1 from three), and 3/6 from free throws, totaling 17 points, 7 rebounds, 7 assists, 3 steals, and 1 block.
