On April 22 Beijing time, multiple sources revealed that Kerr's career as Warriors head coach is probably coming to a close. According to team reporter Tim Kawakami, if Kerr steps down, Mike Brown and Andre Iguodala are potential contenders for the Warriors' head coaching position. The details are as follows—

If the Warriors head coach position becomes vacant, it would mark the first coaching change since May 2014, inevitably attracting a large number of coaches competing for interviews and opportunities.
Regardless, the chance to coach Curry and work under an owner like Lacob, who is willing to invest heavily, makes the Warriors head coaching role highly appealing. The most popular and logical candidate is undoubtedly former lead assistant and interim head coach Mike Brown, who is beloved by Warriors fans.
However, this depends on him first being dismissed by the Knicks. Given owner Dolan's tendencies, this is not entirely impossible, but overall the probability is relatively low.

Additionally, if Fernandez does not secure a stable position with the Nets, the Warriors would actively pursue him for discussions. However, he has already signed a multi-year extension with the Nets.
Florida University head coach Todd Golden has also been mentioned. The industry widely believes he is destined to enter NBA coaching in the coming years and is a core candidate on the top list if Kerr leaves.
Lacob and Dunleavy won't be constrained by rigid hiring criteria. But if Mike Brown is excluded, they are likely inclined toward young, player-development-focused, data-analytics-oriented coaches from the new generation.
Current assistant coaches who fit this profile and have strong industry reputations: Micah Nori (Timberwolves), Chris Quinn (Heat), Sean Sweeney (Spurs), Johnny Bryant (Cavaliers).
Other potential candidates (with varying feasibility): current defensive coordinator Jerry Stackhouse, offensive coordinator Terry Stotts, Celtics assistant Sam Cassell, basketball commentator Brent Barry, and Kawakami's suggested dark horse—Andre Iguodala.
