Yesterday, Jalen Brunson was unanimously named Finals MVP. Among current NBA players, LeBron James tops the list with four Finals MVP awards. Kevin Durant and Kawhi Leonard have each won it twice. Others with one Finals MVP include Curry, Jokić, Antetokounmpo, Brown, and Gilgeous-Alexander.

There's no doubt that Brunson deserved the Finals MVP. Actually, after Game 4, OG Anunoby—who hit the game-winning shot—had a higher probability of winning the award than Brunson. But Brunson's dominant 45-point, 3-rebound, 3-assist, 2-steal performance in Game 5, combined with his steady play throughout the series, made him a unanimous choice for Finals MVP, which was expected.
Before the Finals ended, many were discussing who would win the Finals MVP. Then Seth Curry, Stephen Curry's brother, posted on social media: "I see a lot of people talking about Finals MVP. Who cares? I've never heard anyone talk about it growing up. I don't know why people started discussing it around 2015."

In the 2015 Finals, the Warriors defeated the Cavaliers (who were missing key players) 4-2 to win the championship. Andre Iguodala received 7 out of 11 votes and won Finals MVP. LeBron James, who battled alone, got 4 votes, while Curry received none.
Seth Curry's comments were obviously defending his older brother. Is the Finals MVP unimportant? Well, those who can't get it care the most. People tend to discredit what others have achieved. Everyone knows the drill.
Recently, 2015 Finals MVP Andre Iguodala appeared on Jefferson's podcast and talked about the iconic chase-down block in Game 7 of the 2016 Finals: "The sound I heard was like a sonic boom—like a gunshot, extremely loud. I was waiting for the referee to call goaltending. Even now, when I go out, I still hear those thugs shouting 'You got blocked by LeBron!' and my daughter gets bullied at school because of it."

LeBron James, who made that unforgettable play, is currently in Croatia watching the E1 powerboat racing championship.

Today, he posted on social media to wish his younger son Bryce a happy 19th birthday. He shared a clip of Bryce hitting golf balls into the sea, once again responding to the incident where he was complained about by an unknown environmental group for playing golf off an Italian island.
"Water golf" is a common recreational activity in the sport. LeBron and his family surely know that these golf balls need to be made of biodegradable materials. Besides, since the yacht they were on was local and had golf facilities, it must have been equipped with biodegradable golf balls.

LeBron also posted a mirror selfie with Bryce.

Bryce's girlfriend, Sadie Johnson, shared a sweet couple photo on social media with the caption: "Happy birthday to my other half and best friend. I love you so much, Bryce."

It seems like it won't be long before the 42-year-old LeBron becomes a grandfather.
Finally, some Lakers news. Renowned reporter Marc Stein reported today that the general expectation is that the Lakers will re-sign Austin Reaves this offseason. He is eligible for a 5-year maximum contract worth up to $241 million.

Reaves has a $14.9 million player option for next season, but he will certainly decline it. Multiple reporters have already indicated that the Nets are expected to offer Reaves a 4-year, $178.5 million contract.
The Pistons and Hawks are also teams interested in competing for Reaves, and more teams are expected to make offers. Executives from rival teams believe Reaves' annual salary in the market will not be lower than $40 million.
Sign it, sign it.
