On June 18th Beijing time, the entire 2016 NBA champion Cleveland Cavaliers team is enjoying themselves in Europe, and fans are wondering why Kyrie Irving hasn't come along. JR Smith responded to this question head-on.

This week, LeBron James, Tristan Thompson, Kevin Love, and other members of that championship squad gathered in Europe to commemorate the tenth anniversary of the team's legendary title run, with golf serving as the main activity for the reunion. Many fans noticed Irving's absence, given his crucial role on that championship team.

JR Smith stepped forward to clarify. He didn't directly name Irving, but it was obvious who he was referring to. He wrote in the comments: "No one is absent — we did invite him, but he just disappeared and never replied to any messages. Stop spreading nonsense."

The relationship between Irving and the Cavaliers has always been complicated: he requested a trade and left Cleveland, then moved on to Boston, but in recent years, the two sides have at least maintained a surface-level cordiality.
But if the person JR described as unreachable is indeed Irving, their relationship might not be as harmonious as people think.
TMZ says that the glory of a championship is eternal, but unfortunately, the bond forged through winning together doesn't always last.
