Determining the 4 LCK Seeds for Worlds 2026: What Seed Numbers Are Gen.G and T1?

After the 2026 LCK Finals ended, the Korean region has fully determined the seed order for the 2026 World Championship. Gen.G tops the list as seed 1, Hanwha Life Esports is seed 2, T1 holds seed 3, and Dplus KIA is seed 4. All four LCK teams will advance straight to the Main Event.

Gen.G Takes Seed 1 Following Their 2026 LCK Title

Gen.G is South Korea's top team at Worlds 2026 after a 3-1 victory over Hanwha Life Esports in the LCK Finals on September 13. Chovy, Ruler, and their teammates concluded the domestic season with a championship, simultaneously securing the highest seed for LCK at the year's biggest tournament.

Gen.G's playoff run demonstrated impressive consistency. They swept KT Rolster 3-0 in Round 2, then defeated HLE 3-1 in the winners' bracket final, and repeated the same 3-1 score in the grand final. As the 1st seed, Gen.G enters Worlds 2026 with immense expectations in the race for the world championship.

HLE Is LCK's Seed 2

Hanwha Life Esports finished the 2026 LCK season as runners-up and received seed 2. HLE previously beat T1 3-2 in Round 2, then lost to Gen.G 1-3 in the winners' bracket. After dropping to the losers' bracket, Zeus, Kanavi, Zeka, Gumayusi, and Delight overcame T1 3-1 to earn a rematch against Gen.G in the final.

Although they could not complete a comeback to claim the championship, HLE still heads to Worlds as one of LCK's strongest teams. Earlier, their international results in the 2026 season also helped HLE secure their spot among Korea's representatives early on.

T1 Locks in Seed 3 After Beating Dplus KIA

T1 will attend Worlds 2026 as LCK's 3rd seed. Faker and his teammates officially sealed this position after a 3-1 victory over Dplus KIA in the losers' bracket of the playoffs. Earlier, T1 had beaten BNK FEARX 3-2 but lost 2-3 to HLE, forcing them to take a longer road through the lower bracket.

After defeating DK, T1 faced HLE again in the losers' bracket final but lost 1-3, finishing LCK 2026 in third place. Nevertheless, with their extensive international experience, T1 remains a closely watched name at Worlds, especially as the reigning world champions.

Dplus KIA Grabs the Final Ticket as Seed 4

Dplus KIA is the last LCK representative for Worlds 2026. DK went through a tense losers' bracket run, beating BNK FEARX 3-2 and then defeating KT Rolster 3-1 to officially secure the spot. Their loss to T1 meant ShowMaker and his teammates finished the playoffs in fourth place and received seed 4.

List of the 4 LCK Seeds at Worlds 2026

A noteworthy point is that all four LCK representatives will directly enter the Main Event of Worlds 2026, with no team having to play in the Play-In stage. This allows Korea to enter the tournament with an extremely strong lineup consisting of Gen.G, HLE, T1, and DK.

With Gen.G in peak form, HLE boasting a star-studded roster, T1 carrying world championship experience, and DK always capable of springing surprises, LCK continues to be regarded as one of the most formidable regions at the 2026 World Championship.
