The regular season of the 2026 VCT CN Stage 1 has wrapped up. From the ALPHA group, AG, JDG, TYL, and TEC qualified for playoffs; from the OMEGA group, XLG, EDG, DRG, and TE made the cut. These eight teams will converge in Beijing to vie for the Stage 1 title, with three teams earning the chance to represent VCT CN at the London Masters. The playoffs will run from May 1 to May 10—remember to tune in and cheer for your favorite teams!

Before Stage 1 began, many teams underwent adjustments. AG, who performed decently at the San Diego Masters, redeployed a new lineup, relieving K1ra of his captain duties to focus fully on shooting. EDG also tweaked their roster, and their new setup has shown promising results. However, for the Regular Season MVP award, EDG's star player Zmjjkk claimed it without a doubt. Throughout Stage 1's regular season, his performance was like dominating lower-tier opponents—his signature flick shots delivered highlights nearly every match, and he consistently stepped up when the team needed him most.

Especially in the previous match against JDG, he led the team to a reverse sweep from a 1-0 deficit—that's the star effect! Whenever he's on the field, opponents have to adapt. Facing a sniper master and a stable core, they must adjust. Although JDG's Stew was also outstanding, the team fell just short in overtime, where EDG secured the win, and Zmjjkk shared a respectful embrace with his rival.

Zmjjkk winning this Regular Season MVP isn't just about star power—it reflects his genuine dominance in the CN region. Returning to CN competition, he seems to operate on a different level, delivering all kinds of plays and highlights at full intensity. His ACS (Average Combat Score) tops the region, followed by TYL's Splash and AG's f4ngeer in second place. Looking forward to Zmjjkk's performance in Beijing next!
