VCT: Everyone rise! Lysoar is on fire, XLG beats GE 2-1 to advance to the quarterfinals

In the third round (1-1 group) of the Valorant Masters London Swiss stage, XLG knocked out GE 2-1, advancing to the quarterfinals!

Map 1: Sunset


Defending side GE: Omen, Gekko, Sova, Neon, Cypher

Attacking side XLG: Cypher, Omen, Sova, Jett, Phoenix

In the first half, XLG won the pistol round, GE took the bonus round, then Xavi8k got a triple kill catching XLG's backline.

GE took five consecutive rounds, but in the 8th round XLG attacked A and won, with Lysoar securing a triple kill — everyone stood up!

In the 9th round, GE focused their defense on C site, but XLG hit A and gained a numbers advantage to win.

XLG went on a five-round streak, taking the lead and ending the first half with a two-round advantage.


In the second half, XLG pushed hard on their bonus round, using crossfire to shut down GE's attack.

Round 16: NoMan pushed out from A and got eliminated; Autumn used Cypher's ult to gather info, then GE hit C and won.

GE claimed four rounds in a row. In round 20, GE tried B but XLG read the play and won. In round 23, GE got nothing from C, lost Gekko to XLG, then rotated to A — PatMen and Autumn turned the tide with a heroic performance to take Map 1.

Map 2: Lotus


Defending side XLG: Fade, Sage, Gekko, Omen, Cypher

Attacking side GE: Skye, Omen, Jett, Vyse, Raze

In the first half, XLG won the pistol. Round 4 saw the first full-buy duel, with GE winning the A-site gunfight.

GE assembled a five-round win streak, extinguishing XLG's hopes in multiple rounds.

Round 8: Rarga got a first kill with the Operator on C, while the other four XLG players held A — XLG ended their losing streak.

GE had a stronger first half, pulling off an eco-round comeback in the final round to take a two-round lead into halftime.


Entering the second half, UdoTan retook A site with four kills in the pistol round, giving GE the win.

Round 16: Autumn's Operator push was intercepted, allowing XLG to easily enter C and plant — three GE players chose to save their rifles.

Round 20: Autumn's Operator took out Happywei, forcing XLG to reluctantly hit C; GE had full utility and kept spamming wallbangs, but Lysoar clutched the round in the end.

XLG dominated the second half with an eight-round streak, securing Map 2 convincingly.

Map 3: Breeze


Defending side GE: Sage, Viper, Chamber, Sova, Neon

Attacking side XLG: Sova, Phoenix, Jett, Viper, Omen

GE won the pistol round. In round 3, XLG couldn't convert the bonus, as UdoTan's triple-kill retake led his team to victory.

Round 4: XLG saved up and rushed B, with quick trades inside the site and Rarga finishing off two with the Marshal — XLG pulled off an upset round.

XLG clawed back three straight rounds. In round 8, Lysoar and Wsleo turned a 2v4 situation into a win.

XLG went on a five-round tear, with Lysoar erupting multiple times to carry the team, ending the first half with eight rounds.


Second half, round 15: NoMan's Operator triple-kill on B stopped GE's attack cold.

XLG lost control of the game as GE kept closing the gap, tying the score at 9-9.

Round 19: XLG controlled mid and held A, wiping out all five GE members — a perfect team ace.

Round 21: Three XLG players retook B site; Lysoar, bold and meticulous, defused the spike while also securing a triple kill — incredible hands!

Round 22: Happywei and Rarga held the B choke, eliminating four GE players, leaving Kr1stal alone — he was quickly taken down.

On match point, XLG sealed the deal without hesitation, advancing to the London Masters quarterfinals!
