The LPL national team is about to be revealed, with the goal of winning the championship! BLG can have at most three members selected members, and the key lies with the AL team.

Hello everyone, this is Tianxia Game Hub here. This year's LOL schedule is relatively busy, encompassing two tournaments of a national team nature. As everyone knows, the LPL is not taking part in the Asian Games' League of Legends event, having not fielded a team, so only the ENC remains.

This year's LOL schedule is quite full, including two events that are national team competitions. It's well-known that the LPL is not joining the Asian Games' League of Legends project, as no team has been dispatched, thus only the ENC is the only one left.

The ENC, short for the Esports National Cup, is a year-end event held at the end of the year after S Worlds, with different rules for national team composition.

The national team will be announced, aiming for the championship.

On June 17th, foreign media interviewed the Chinese head of the ENC, who discussed the formation and structure of the Chinese ENC team project, as well as the preparation of the League of Legends roster. Regarding the arrangement and goal for the League of Legends national team, the head, Layne, stated they would do their utmost to assemble the strongest possible lineup, with the objective of winning the championship.

This goal is certainly not easy to achieve. Layne acknowledged the challenge of vying for the championship but noted it is not an insurmountable difficulty. This year's situation is particularly special: the Chinese team will not compete in the esports events of the Asian Games, making the ENC the sole national team-level world championship-level world tournament for China.

On the much-anticipated matter of the roster, Layne revealed that the lineup is expected to be announced on June 18th.

Simply put, the LPL has missed a crucial opportunity to win the Asian Games this year, so it will place greater emphasis on the ENC National Cup. However, based on previous ENC official information suggests it will be quite challenging for the LPL to win this tournament, mainly because it is difficult for the LPL to form a truly optimal lineup.

BLG can have at most three selected members, and the key lies with AL.

Previously released ENC official information shows that only AL and AL are partnered with LPL clubs. AL's parent company, AG, is the lead organizer of the Chinese ENC team. In the event details, it is clear that sole collaborative operation organization for the Chinese team is Chengdu Jingyue, which is AG's parent company.

In other words, AL has significant influence in the composition of the national team.

If the national team roster must be chosen only from BLG and AL, then BLG can send at most three players in at most. Furthermore, Knight cannot be selected as AL has two Korean imports on their roster. Two or all three of Saint, Shanks, and Hope could be chosen, which would indeed make the national team lack competitiveness in terms of strength.

Normally, the strongest possible national team lineup from the LPL would necessarily include Knight, ideally with four BLG plus one ADC. JKL would be the best choice for that ADC position.

As it stands, this seems impossible. The key factor depends on AL. AL's manager once suggested they might make certain adjustments to the team's lineup after the World Cup concludes. If they can strengthen the AD position, the national team might stand a chance of winning the championship. Otherwise, lacking the strong asset of Knight, winning the title would be nearly impossible.

With six major tournaments in a full year, immense pressure.

Season 16 has six major tournaments, including three official Riot events, the Games events, plus the Asian Games, ENC, and World Cup. The hierarchy of prestige is clear: S Worlds > MSI > First Stand Tournament > Asian Games, with the World Cup and National Cup trailing.

The prestige of the Asian Games has diminished because the Chinese team is not participating, allowing the Korean team to easily secure the gold medal.

Missing the Asian Games opportunity is, in fact, significant blow to the LPL. Personally, I believe that if the LPL had managed to organize a proper team for the competition this year, they would have had a chance at the gold medal, but ultimately they failed to participate.

Thus, the LPL can only focus on MSI and S Worlds. However, based on past seasons, winning MSI often means failing to win S Worlds. If the same year. Securing only an MSI title would certainly be insufficient for the current LPL. As for the World Cup and National Cup, even winning those would not earn widespread recognition.

Regarding the ENC event specifically, it could hold some value if held before S Worlds, but being scheduled after S Worlds renders it relatively insignificant. In short, the S Worlds championship reigns supreme. As long as the LPL can secure an S Worlds title, everything else will be fine; failing that, winning every other tournament would not mean much.
