The Valorant Shanghai Global Championship is just two weeks away from its start. Many participating teams are already preparing to head to Shanghai to acclimate early and gear up for the most crucial championship ahead! The event kicks off on September 24th, and the brand-new championship bundle is expected to drop about two days earlier, likely around the 22nd. Stay tuned for that! The team groupings and matchups were also revealed some time ago. For several VCTCN teams, this draw result is relatively favorable!

JDG will take on FUT. Although FUT performed decently in the Masters earlier, their performance in the second stage was quite average, and they only snagged a spot in the championship early due to their high previous points. TYL, on the other hand, will face G2—a matchup everyone is eager to see, to find out whether Tianlu can maintain its dominance on the world stage. This match is also the opening game. EDG will face LOUD, and XLG will go up against KC. For XLG, this is a tough challenge!

Every year before the world championship, there's a power ranking list. Recently, the officials updated the global team power ranking ahead of the championship! This is the VCT global team power ranking before the Shanghai Championship (scoring based on multidimensional data such as recent match records, win-loss margins, and regional strength), with LEV ranking first, GE second, 100T third, and PRX fourth. Although LEV can't attend the championship, their previously accumulated power still remains, which looks a bit odd. Even they themselves have to mock themselves—being number one but unable to qualify for the championship is kind of tragic!
