Hello, LPL viewers and League of Legends summoners. This is the Global Gaming Hub.
Yesterday, the LPL held two playoff matches. The two Phoenix Group teams played again. IG won another do-or-die game, while NIP experienced a tragic conclusion.

IG wins another must-win match.
The situation in the LPL is that among the three dark horses (LGD, IG, NIP), only one can earn a chance to qualify for Worlds. Thus, every playoff round for these three teams is a life-or-death battle.

The first match was between IG and WE. In this round, Rookie delivered a near-flawless performance to lead his team to victory.
In the first game, Rookie chose his signature Syndra, finishing with an impressive 3-0-13 KDA. He landed multiple superb orbs, completely confusing Karis.

In the second game, Karis got his revenge by locking in Akali. After securing three kills through early roams, he snowballed quickly. Once this champion gets ahead, she's nearly unstoppable. Karis repeatedly dove the backline, and the match quickly lost its suspense.
In the third game, the Jayce curse struck again. Despite WE building a huge lead, IG countered with a perfect teamfight. Wei's Trundle used a godly pillar to trap About, allowing IG to swarm in for a quick kill and then take the match point.

In the fourth game, IG sealed the series. TheShy picked Kled and led the charge. Early on, he barely remounted to kill two opponents, then crushed the top lane. At 17 minutes, TheShy and Rookie dominated a teamfight, with Viktor securing a quadra kill to eliminate WE.
The tragic end of the Phoenix King.
The subsequent match between NIP and LGD went the full distance to the final moments of game five. In the end, NIP, the "Phoenix King," fell just short and was eliminated by LGD, finishing in sixth place and losing their chance to compete for Worlds.

Even so, the audience praised them for an honorable defeat. Only one of the two dark horses could survive, and LGD showed the better side.
In the first game, Tangyuan rescued his midlaner (Anivia) and combined with jungler Heng's Qiyana to dominate the map. Heng's BO5 performance kept Korean jungler Guwon suppressed almost throughout. In the final game, Guwon's Poppy with zero magic resistance drew criticism from viewers.
In the second game, NIP's duo carry stepped up, but they needed a 40-minute grind to secure the win. However, the jungler's Jayce was reversed and still ended up losing the match.

In the match point game, LGD stomped quickly. There was a solo kill top lane, and Tangyuan got a triple kill in the jungle, after which the game entered garbage time.
Under extreme pressure, NIP showed great resilience. Their duo carry outplayed the opponents to win a crucial teamfight, securing two dragons and dragging the series to a decisive game. This clearly demonstrated that NIP's duo carry is not weak.

However, in the final deciding game, LGD stole the Baron against all odds. Shaoye, who was considered a weak link in the bot lane, stepped up. He gambled his career on a Flash play to turn the tide and seal the victory.
Rookie completely dominates to prove himself.
Both rounds of matches were thrilling, especially the epic battle between LGD and NIP, which carried a strong sense of tragedy. In the end, the content was satisfying. Both teams played with passion. Setting aside some mistakes, they are both admirable teams.

Tangyuan's growth is undoubtedly impressive. LGD's strong chemistry is key to their advancement to the top four.
On IG's side, the most surprising was midlaner Rookie. He won the series MVP, carrying almost every game and dominating. Other players made some mistakes here and there, but Rookie stayed fully focused throughout.

It's worth noting that before his return, Rookie's performance both in and out of game had been criticized. As the oldest midlaner in the LPL, most viewers had lost hope in him.
But in this playoffs, Rookie has exploded again, showing signs of returning to his peak form.

The reason, in my opinion, is that TheShy's return inspired Rookie. Rookie wants to make one more run with TheShy and has been working harder to prove himself. Now he has regained the recognition of the audience.
Next, IG will face LGD in another do-or-die match. This will certainly be a tragic battle. It will take place the day after tomorrow. Let's hope both teams can deliver an exciting game for the viewers.
