Haaland's shirt torn

Erling Haaland became the focal point following Manchester City's crucial victory over Arsenal, as the Norwegian striker had his shirt torn during a tense duel with Gabriel Magalhães.

Manchester City's striker scored the decisive goal in the pivotal match of the title race at Etihad. However, he also endured a full 90 minutes of intense physical clashes with Arsenal's defender, resulting in his sleeve being ripped.

During a lengthy ball dispute on the right flank, Haaland shielded the ball from Gabriel's close pressure. The Brazilian defender pulled hard on his opponent's arm, accidentally tearing the Manchester City forward's inner thermal layer.

Despite being pulled down in this incident, Haaland did not receive any free kick from referee Anthony Taylor. This caused the Norwegian star to express extreme frustration and repeatedly protest to the referee.

Not long before, Haaland had just put Manchester City ahead 2-1. From a chaotic scramble in the penalty area following Nico O'Reilly's pass, the 2000-born striker managed to finish into a goal despite falling near the penalty spot.

This goal allowed the Etihad home team to regain the advantage after Kai Havertz equalized for Arsenal in the first half, capitalizing on goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma's handling error.

Towards the end of the match, tensions escalated again between Haaland and Gabriel. The two players confronted each face-to-face after another collision. Gabriel head-butted his opponent but only received a yellow card instead of a red.

Haaland was also cautioned in this incident. The situation angered manager Pep Guardiola on the sidelines, and he himself received a yellow card for his excessive reaction.

This is not the first time Haaland and Gabriel have created a flashpoint in clashes between Manchester City and Arsenal. Last season, the Norwegian forward threw the ball at his opponent after John Stones' late equalizer in the 2-2 draw. The rivalry between these two names clearly remains unresolved.
