Juventus moves closer to Champions League qualification after victory over Bologna

Juventus maintains its impressive momentum with a 2-0 home win against Bologna, consolidating its place in Serie A's top four and advancing closer to the objective of obtaining Champions League qualification for the upcoming season.

This marks Juventus' third consecutive victory, as well as their third consecutive clean sheet. From the very first moments, Juventus demonstrated dominance by breaking the deadlock just 90 seconds into the match. From Francisco Conceicao's assist, Pierre Kalulu delivered a precise cross for Jonathan David to head in the opening goal.

Bologna, known for their solid defensive away record, had not conceded a first-half goal in their last nine matches. However, this streak was ended early by Juventus.

The home team continued to apply strong pressure after the opening goal. In the 10th minute, Conceicao put the ball into the net, but the goal was disallowed due to an offside violation. Minutes later, the Portuguese player had another opportunity but was denied by goalkeeper Federico Ravaglia.

In the 34th minute, Juventus nearly doubled their lead when Emil Holm unleashed a powerful volley that struck the crossbar. Before the first half ended, Jonathan David had another chance but his shot missed the post, while Bologna only created one notable situation with a long-range effort from Tommaso Pobega.

In the second half, Bologna attempted to push forward. Riccardo Orsolini produced a dangerous shot but lacked accuracy. Nevertheless, Juventus quickly regained control and increased their lead in the 57th minute. Weston McKennie provided a favorable cross for Khephren Thuram to score with a header, sealing the 2-0 result.

Bologna also had an opportunity to reduce the deficit, but Jonathan Rowe's shot hit the post following Nadir Zortea's cross.

In the remaining time, Juventus proactively controlled the match and preserved the win. This result extends Turin's unbeaten streak across all competitions to eight matches and provides a significant advantage in the race for the top four.

For Bologna, this team missed the chance to secure its fifth consecutive away victory and continues its streak of not winning against Juventus, now extending to 30 encounters.
