Sky Sports television had to apologize to viewers after striker Erling Haaland used inappropriate language during a live interview following the match between Manchester City and Arsenal.
Haaland was the standout figure at Etihad Stadium, scoring the decisive goal to help Man City secure a 2-1 victory over their direct rival in the Premier League title race. This result allowed Pep Guardiola's squad to narrow the gap to just 3 points, with one match still remaining.

Haaland swears after the match against Arsenal
However, after the match, Haaland drew attention due to his uncontrolled remarks on television. During a conversation with teammate Bernardo Silva, the Norwegian striker inadvertently uttered a swear word, forcing reporter Patrick Davison to immediately intervene.
Haaland later reacted quite casually: "Who doesn't say that sometimes in life," but the incident still compelled host Dave Jones to apologize to the live audience.
This is not the first time Haaland has encountered a similar situation. Previously, he had been cautioned for using sensitive language in post-match interviews during Premier League games, including when Man City clinched the title in the 2022/23 season.

Haaland's emotions
According to regulations by the broadcasting regulator Ofcom, content containing offensive language is not permitted to be aired before 9 PM to ensure suitability for a general audience.
Aside from the off-field incident, Haaland also experienced a tense match, repeatedly clashing with Arsenal's center-back Gabriel Magalhaes. Nevertheless, the Norwegian striker asserted that he "won in the decisive moment" with the goal that earned three points for his team.
This victory gives Man City a significant psychological advantage in the title race, while Arsenal faces increased pressure in the final stretch of the season.
