Vietnam U17 concluded the group stage of the 2026 Southeast Asian U17 Championship as the leader of Group A, securing a spot in the semifinals against reigning champion Australia U17. Meanwhile, host Indonesia officially stopped at the group stage. The 0-0 draw was sufficient for Vietnam U17 to retain their top position in Group A with 7 points, while also keeping a clean sheet after three matches.
