Cristiano Ronaldo continues to contribute greatly, helping Al Nassr secure victory, this time a ticket to the AFC Champions League Two semifinals. Although it is a lower-tier continental competition, this could still be an opportunity for Ronaldo to end his long trophy drought with the Saudi Arabian team.

Just two wins away from the championship, the Portuguese superstar is considered capable of lifting the cup right at home if Al Nassr qualifies for the final. In the quarterfinal match held at Zabeel Stadium (Dubai), Al Nassr crushed the UAE representative Al Wasl with a 4-0 score. Ronaldo opened the scoring in the 12th minute before Iñigo Martínez, Abdulelah Al-Amri, and Sadio Mané successively added their names to the scoreboard. This victory sends Al Nassr to the semifinals, where they will face Al Ahli Doha.

According to World Soccer Talk, the Asian Football Confederation has designated Al Nassr as the host of the AFC Champions League Two final, scheduled for May 16. The match will be held at Al Awwal Park Stadium in Riyadh, but only if Al Nassr defeats Al Ahli in the semifinals.

If the Qatar representative advances, the final will be held in Doha as originally planned. The semifinal between Al Nassr and Al Ahli will take place on April 22 in a single-match format. In the other bracket, Gamba Osaka has already secured a spot in the final. This means the Japanese representative will travel to the Middle East, regardless of who the final opponent is.

Since the next Saudi Pro League match against Al Ahli is scheduled for April 29, Al Nassr can focus entirely on the continental arena. The match against Al Wasl was only Ronaldo's second appearance in this season's competition, showing that coach Jorge Jesus is carefully planning to conquer the title.

The goal against Al Wasl also helped Ronaldo raise his total career goals to 969. Al Nassr's current form is extremely impressive, having won 18 consecutive matches across all competitions, including 15 in the Saudi Pro League and 3 in the AFC Champions League Two. The team stands before the opportunity to achieve a historic double for the first time in the club's history.
