Ronaldo responds fiercely as fans collectively chant Messi's name

Cristiano Ronaldo firmly countered the chants of "Messi" from the stands with a classy performance, scoring a goal and making a silencing gesture, helping Al-Nassr secure a big win and advance to the semifinals.

Cristiano Ronaldo once again demonstrated the mentality of a top superstar by leading Al-Nassr into the semifinals of AFC Champions League Two, despite constant provocations from the opposing fans.

In the quarter-final match against Al Wasl at Zabeel Stadium (Dubai), Cristiano Ronaldo quickly made his mark by scoring the opening goal in the 11th minute. Utilizing Boushal's precise cross, the Portuguese superstar finished neatly, scoring his 970th career goal and moving closer to the historic milestone of 1,000 goals.

Despite his standout performance, Ronaldo still faced chants of "Messi, Messi" from the home team's fans. However, instead of reacting negatively, he responded with a confident gesture: placing a finger on his lips to request silence, before performing his familiar "calma" gesture, signaling to the stands that everything was under his control.

On the field, Al-Nassr completely dominated their opponent and achieved a decisive 4-0 victory. After Ronaldo's opening goal, Inigo Martínez doubled the lead in the 24th minute, before Abdulelah Al-Amri added another goal just two minutes later. In the 80th minute, Sadio Mané sealed the resounding victory for the Saudi Arabian representative.

Ronaldo left the field in the 67th minute to be replaced by Abdullah Al-Hamdan, after having excellently fulfilled his duties. During his time on the pitch, he had 24 touches, made 3 shots, and continued to be the focal point in Al-Nassr's increasingly effective attacking play in the continental competition.

Notably, the West Asian quarter-final matches were initially scheduled from March 3 to 10 but were postponed due to the impact of conflicts in Iran. The Asian Football Confederation subsequently decided to switch to a single-match format at a centralized venue.

With this victory, Al-Nassr will face Al Ahli SC in the semifinals next Wednesday. The winner of this match will meet Gamba Osaka - the club that has already secured a spot in the final and is waiting for its opponent.
