OFFICIAL: First Premier League Club Confirmed for Relegation

Wolves have officially been relegated from the Premier League following West Ham's draw with Crystal Palace, concluding a disastrous season for "The Wolves" despite five remaining fixtures.

Today, April 21, Wolverhampton Club has officially been relegated from the Premier League after West Ham United drew 0-0 with Crystal Palace.

This has been a deeply disappointing season for Wolves fans, as the team remained stuck at the bottom of the standings despite five matches left in the season. West Ham's draw puts them 16 points ahead of Wolves, an unbridgeable gap, thereby officially sending "The Wolves" down to the Championship next season.

At Selhurst Park, the match was rather dull and lacked highlights. Brennan Johnson missed two clear chances for Crystal Palace, while the home defense effectively neutralized threats like Crysencio Summerville and Jarrod Bowen from West Ham. Nevertheless, just one point was enough for "The Hammers" to indirectly relegate Wolves.

Previously, Wolves had temporarily avoided early relegation when Tottenham drew 2-2 with Brighton. However, that only delayed an inevitable outcome.

The Midlands club has experienced significant turmoil. They dismissed manager Vitor Pereira in November after a ten-match start without a win. Subsequently, Rob Edwards was appointed and secured 15 of the team's total 17 points over 33 matches—a commendable effort but insufficient to salvage the situation.

Despite notable victories against Aston Villa and Liverpool, Wolves suffered 22 defeats, including a loss to Leeds United—which contributed to their current predicament.

The relegation battle remains unresolved for the other positions. Tottenham and Burnley are currently in the relegation zone, while West Ham is also not safe, being only 2 points above the drop zone. Nottingham Forest holds a stronger advantage with a 5-point gap.

In the next round, Wolves will host Tottenham at home, but this match now holds only symbolic significance as their fate has already been sealed.
