Michael Owen asserts that Vinicius Junior is "too big and too exceptional," making the possibility of leaving Real Madrid nearly impossible.
Vinicius Junior continues to be the center of transfer speculation, but according to legend Michael Owen, the likelihood of this star leaving Real Madrid is almost unimaginable.
The former English striker believes Vinicius's value far exceeds the current market average. With a fee potentially reaching hundreds of millions of Euros, Owen thinks only "two clubs in the world" have the financial capability to pursue such a deal, and even then, convincing Real Madrid to release him remains an extremely difficult task.
“Sometimes there are players who are too big, too exceptional that you cannot imagine them leaving. Vinicius is one of them,” Owen stated.
Currently, Vinicius still has a contract with Real Madrid until 2027, and renewal negotiations are reportedly progressing. The Brazilian player himself has repeatedly expressed his desire to stay long-term at the Bernabéu, despite controversies surrounding his playing attitude and contentious on-field incidents.
Despite rumors of "massive" offers from the Saudi Pro League, Owen believes the spending wave from the Middle East has somewhat cooled compared to before. Therefore, the chance of Vinicius pursuing deals worth billions of Euros is not high.
“I don’t think that will happen. He is one of the top players in the world, and Real Madrid also has no reason to sell such an outstanding young talent,” Owen emphasized.
On the field, Vinicius maintains consistent performance with over 20 goals per season for several consecutive years, even though Real Madrid has not achieved major trophies recently. At age 25, he still has plenty of time to continue developing and competing for individual honors like the Ballon d'Or.
With his proven caliber and irreplaceable status at Real Madrid, Vinicius's future seems destined to remain with the Royal club at least in the near future, despite all transfer rumors.
