Coach Liam Rosenior acknowledged Chelsea's poor performance as the home team at Stamford Bridge lost to Brighton.
Chelsea suffered a 0-3 away defeat against Brighton, extending their disappointing run under Coach Liam Rosenior.
Goals from Ferdi Kadıoğlu, Jack Hinshelwood, and Danny Welbeck secured Brighton's victory, moving them up to 6th place, above Chelsea.
Chelsea now drop to 7th position with 48 points after a dreadful streak, nearly unprecedented under Rosenior. Chelsea have lost five consecutive Premier League matches, against Newcastle (0-1), Everton (0-3), Man City (0-3), Manchester United (0-1), and now Brighton (0-3). In those five games, they conceded 11 goals and failed to score any, something that hasn't happened since November 1912.

Coach Liam Rosenior furious with Chelsea's performance
Against Brighton, Chelsea attempted six shots but none were on target. The poor display led to boos from their own fans.
Rosenior's team appears to have "dropped" their chance for Champions League qualification, now trailing 5th-placed Liverpool by 7 points.
The newspaper The Sun reports that Chelsea fans collectively chanted "Go away, Rosenior" as their team sank into a fifth consecutive Premier League defeat. Meanwhile, Brighton fans responded with sarcastic cheers: "Liam Rosenior, he's one of ours."
Coach Rosenior admits Chelsea played poorly when speaking on Sky Sports: "Chelsea had their worst match ever. It was an unacceptable performance in every aspect, from professionalism to attitude. I always try to defend the players, but tonight's display is indefensible."

Chelsea suffers a forgettable defeat
"How we conceded goals, the number of lost duels, the lack of intensity in the team's play... Everything needs to change drastically right now. Professionalism has vanished. This is a truly difficult night, the hardest night not only at this great club but also in my entire career. There are things I witnessed today that I never want to see again."
"We need to look in the mirror, and I also need to look at myself," Coach Rosenior continued. He emphasized: "But I cannot stand here and defend what we are seeing. Except for three or four players in the starting lineup, the attitude, spirit, and determination of the rest were severely lacking. That is not enough for this club. I cannot lie, I will speak the truth directly: It was an unacceptable performance in every stage."
"I have discussed deeply what needs to happen for this club to return to its rightful place, regardless of who is the coach. The issue is not about me. The issue is about the future of this football club," Coach Rosenior added.
Regarding Chelsea fans booing, Coach Rosenior stated: "I have a strong spirit and I understand why the fans are angry. I myself am disappointed with the performances we are showing. I just have to continue working hard with my colleagues and players, but what I need to do is truly reassess how we approach matches, the team's personnel, whom I can trust and rely on in difficult times, because not enough players demonstrated that in today's match."
"We lost 80% of the duels. We didn't win any aerial challenges. Two of the conceded goals came when we could have easily cleared with headers – that's basic football knowledge. At any level, if you make those mistakes and lack engagement in the match, you cannot win," Chelsea's coach continued.
