Manchester United's chances of signing Diomande revealed, asking price of 100 million euros carries huge risk! Three other candidates for new striker.

RB Leipzig from the Bundesliga intends to firmly retain Jan Diomande this summer. Their qualification for next season's Champions League is almost certain, hence they plan to raise the asking price for this player; offers below the standard will not be accepted. The situation resembles what Manchester United encountered last year with Brighton midfielder Carlos Baleba.

RB Leipzig only spent 20 million euros to sign Diomande from Leganes, which proved to be a shrewd deal. Now they are in a secure position, not afraid to increase the price tag for this 19-year-old Ivorian winger.

This season, Diomande participated in the Bundesliga for the first time, scoring 13 goals across all competitions with 8 assists, attracting attention from top European clubs including Manchester United. The Red Devils need a new forward to fill the gap left by potentially departing Rashford, Zirkzee, and definitely leaving Sancho, Hojlund, among others.

RB Leipzig has extended Diomande's contract until 2030, giving them full control; they can refuse to sell if their target price is not met.

German Sky Sports expert Florian Plettenberg reveals that Leipzig will not consider any offer below 100 million euros (87 million pounds). If no one agrees, they are fine with it, as their goal is to consider a sale only in the summer of 2027.

Another German Sky Sports reporter, Philipp Hinze, states: "Leipzig's current asking price for Diomande exceeds 100 million euros. With very high hopes of qualifying for the Champions League, Leipzig no longer faces economic pressure to sell Diomande.

Diomande's market value is rising. The club believes his current value should be more than five times the 20 million euro transfer fee paid to Leganes last summer."

RB Leipzig's stance is clear: they hope Diomande stays for another season, but if the price is right, a sale now is also possible. Everything depends on whether other clubs are willing to meet the 100 million euro asking price.

It can be predicted that all top clubs, including Manchester United, are not prepared to spend such an amount on a player with only one season of outstanding performance in the Bundesliga, as the risk is too high. They believe Diomande's future transfer fee will not increase but rather decrease to a more reasonable level.

Manchester United now has two options: one is to wait until next summer to consider signing Diomande. The team currently also has attackers like Cunha, Patrick Doku, and Mason Mount, and young players from the academy such as Shea Lacey and Gabriel can be utilized more next season.

The club can also pursue other targets, such as Everton's Senegalese international Ilman Ndiaye, or Aston Villa's English international Morgan Rogers, who have already proven themselves in the Premier League and offer more security than the newly emerged Diomande.

Another Premier League newcomer this season, Eli Junior Kroupi, has recently been linked with a transfer to Manchester United.

The 19-year-old Bournemouth youngster became the main attacking force for Bournemouth after Antoine Semenyo transferred to Manchester City. This season, he scored 10 goals in 28 Premier League matches, including scoring twice against Manchester United and also scoring against Arsenal.

The "Cherries" are never reluctant to sell their own players. They demand 50 to 60 million pounds for Kroupi. This French attacker is willing to transfer to Manchester United or other Premier League giants like Arsenal and Liverpool.
