Bayern Munich coach sells house immediately after Bundesliga championship

Coach Vincent Kompany has listed his family's luxurious villa in Cheshire for sale because he plans to stay in Germany with his family.

Bayern Munich successfully defended their Bundesliga title, and also secured an impressive 4-3 victory over Real Madrid in the Champions League last week. This remarkable achievement has reinforced trust in Coach Vincent Kompany, extending his contract until 2029.

Meanwhile, Manchester City fans are beginning to worry that the Belgian legend may not return soon to replace Coach Pep Guardiola, after he sold his six-bedroom villa in the prestigious Hale Barns area, according to sources from The Sun.

Kompany previously lived in the Arts and Crafts-style house named Springwood, featuring an automatic electric gate, during his time playing and coaching in the Premier League.

Last year, the house reportedly saw a price reduction of around £300,000, down to £3.65 million, amid a liquidity crunch in the high-end real estate market for players in Cheshire's "Golden Triangle" areas like Alderley Edge, Wilmslow, Prestbury, and surrounding regions.

A real estate source stated: “Almost no transactions are occurring in this segment. This is a very beautiful house, located in a good area but on a rather secluded small road that outsiders might not notice.

We believe the buyer negotiated a reduction of about £250,000 from the asking price. Prices in lower segments have risen about 20% over a year, but very few actual transactions have taken place.”

This six-bedroom villa is equipped with high-end amenities including an indoor swimming pool, entertainment room, gym, six bathrooms, a custom-designed stone fireplace, and a handmade kitchen.

According to the listing information: “Springwood is an impressive Arts and Crafts mansion, offering spacious living areas within a private, wooded estate.

Completed in 2009, the house harmoniously blends traditional architecture with modern design, featuring approximately 7,600 square feet of usable space spread over four floors, situated on a landscaped garden plot of about 0.7 acres.”

After leaving Burnley in 2024, Vincent Kompany created a major shock by revitalizing Bayern Munich powerfully. In his first season alone, he dispelled all doubts with a convincing Bundesliga championship.

One year later, the coach born in 1986 continued to show his adeptness by helping "The Gray Tigers" defend their silverware, while also securing a spot in the Champions League semi-finals after a victory over Real Madrid in the semi-finals.

Given the impact he has made, Kompany is likely to continue his long-term commitment in Germany with the Allianz Arena team, aiming to achieve further successes with "The German Giant".
