Vietnamese-British player shines, Ho Chi Minh City Police FC ends disappointing streak

Ho Chi Minh City Police FC achieved a minimal 1-0 win right at Ha Tinh's ground, thus halting a run of three consecutive defeats and reducing the burden on manager Le Huynh Duc.

Ho Chi Minh City Police FC clinched a crucial 1-0 victory on Ha Tinh's home turf in the 20th round of V.League on April 26th. Despite facing significant pressure from the hosts, coach Le Huynh Duc's team held firm to claim all three points, ending a disappointing run of form and notably improving their league position.

Before this challenging away fixture, coach Le Huynh Duc drew attention by placing Tien Linh on the bench. The scoring responsibility was entrusted to players like Khoa Ngo, Raphael, and notably Williams Lee. This change quickly proved effective as the visiting team started confidently and proactively executed a counter-attacking strategy.

In the 12th minute, from Nguyen Thai Quoc Cuong's precise free-kick, Williams Lee moved intelligently to evade Ha Tinh's defenders before leaping high to head the ball past goalkeeper Nguyen Thanh Tung. This victory helped coach Le Huynh Duc's team climb to 5th place in the standings, simultaneously ending a three-match losing streak without scoring.
