The 1-1 draw between Sahako and Thai Son Nam HCMC on the last matchday of round 7 on the afternoon of June 10 concluded the first half of the 2026 HDBank National Futsal Championship. This result helped Thai Son Bac maintain the top spot, but the championship race still promises to be exciting.
Determined to take all three points to keep pace with Thai Son Bac, both teams delivered an exciting and tactical performance. Thai Son Nam HCMC opened the scoring in the 10th minute when foreign player Italo Henrique (Bob) finished successfully, giving the defending champions a 1-0 lead. After conceding, Sahako pushed forward in search of an equalizer, putting heavy pressure on the opponent's goal.
The efforts of the "Three-Legged Crow" were finally rewarded in the 36th minute when Huynh Mi Woen scored the equalizer to make it 1-1. In the remaining time, both teams created several notable chances but none were converted. The match ended in a 1-1 draw.
In the earlier match, Tre Ho Chi Minh City put on an explosive performance to secure their first win of the season, defeating Luxury Ha Long 9-2.
Nguyen Chi Bao opened the scoring for Tre HCMC in the 6th minute, followed by goals from Truong Thanh Phong, Nguyen Ba Thanh Tu, Truong Minh Tuan, Nguyen Ba Manh, and Nguyen Tho Minh Huy, giving their team a dominant position. On the side of Luxury Ha Long, Do Viet Tan scored both goals for the "Land of Coal" team.
The big win gave Tre HCMC their first three points of the tournament, while Luxury Ha Long remained at the bottom of the standings after 7 rounds.
Concluding the first half, Thai Son Bac lead the standings with 19 points after 7 matches. Following are Sahako with 16 points, Thai Son Nam HCMC with 15, and Saigon Titans with 13.
