The VFF hands out the First Division co-champion titles to Hanoi Youngsters and Hue, also confirming their promotion for the upcoming season.
On the evening of June 13 at Quy Nhon Stadium (Gia Lai), the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) held the awards ceremony granting the 2026 National Second Division co-champion status to Hanoi Youngsters FC and Hue FC. This is also a well-deserved reward for the two teams following an impressive campaign, while officially securing their promotion to the National First Division for the 2026/27 season.
The ceremony was attended by many VFF leaders and representatives from local sports agencies. In a solemn and emotional atmosphere, players, coaching staff, and numerous fans shared the joy after a season full of effort and determination.
In the finals, Hanoi Youngsters showed remarkable resilience by coming from behind to defeat Truong Giang Gia Dinh 3-1. Meanwhile, Hue also delivered a convincing performance to overcome Lam Dong 3-0. According to the tournament regulations, both teams are recognized as co-champions of the 2026 National Second Division and earn the right to compete in the First Division next season.
Sharing his joy after the success with the capital's young team, coach Pham Minh Duc could not hide his pride as he witnessed the growth of his players. He emphasized that today's achievement is the result of a systematic investment in youth development by Hanoi football. "For me, the happiest thing is seeing the players grow day by day. This is the fruit of the long-term training, selection, and investment process of Hanoi football over many years," coach Pham Minh Duc shared.
Meanwhile, the joy of Hue football became even more special as Hue FC took only one season to return to the First Division stage. Coach Le Chi Nguyen praised the team's fighting spirit and considered this a meaningful gift for the fans. "The players gave their all to secure a favorable result, helping Hue return to the First Division. This is a joy for the entire team as well as Hue football fans. We believe we will continue to strengthen the squad and maintain our playing identity when we return to the First Division environment," the Hue coach stated.
Although the first two promotion tickets have been claimed, the race is not over yet, as the final promotion spot will be decided in the playoff match between Truong Giang Gia Dinh and Lam Dong on June 16. While waiting for the last name to emerge in the 2026/27 First Division, Hanoi Youngsters and Hue can fully enjoy their well-earned achievements after a season of great effort.
