Mr. Luu Quang Dien Bien, Head of the Department for Grassroots Football, Training and Member Organization (Vietnam Football Federation), stated that the Youth Women's Football Festival, part of the FIFA Women's Football Development Program, not only provides a fun and enriching playground for girls who love football but also spreads positive values, confidence, team spirit, solidarity, the will to rise, and an active lifestyle.
With the growing school football movement and the attention from various levels and sectors, Dong Thap has favorable conditions to nurture, discover, and develop young female football talents. The Festival also serves as an opportunity for the Vietnam Football Federation to identify and select promising young female players in the province, aiming to build a future reserve force for Vietnamese women's football, Mr. Luu Quang Dien Bien emphasized.

The 2026 Youth Women's Football Festival featured the participation of eight women's football clubs, with about 160 athletes under the age of 14 from schools and community football centers in Cao Lanh ward, Hong Ngu ward, Thuong Phuoc commune, and Tan Hong commune.
Activities at the Festival included friendly matches, physical games, skill assessments, and player selection. Through these activities, the Festival aims to create a joyful and positive environment for girls to engage with football, nurture their love for sports, and confidently pursue their passions. The program also helps promote the positive values of the FIFA Women's Football Development Program in Vietnam, boosting the growth of women's football in many localities across the country.
In addition, the Festival is an occasion to discover, evaluate, and nurture potential young female players from school and community football movements. This contributes to building a reserve pool of athletes for the future of Vietnamese women's football.
