The return round of the 2026 HDBank V-League Futsal witnessed former Vietnam futsal team captain Tran Van Vu's impressive debut, leading Thai Son Nam HCMC to a win.

This match marked the debut of the former captain of the Vietnam futsal teamTran Van Vuas head coach of the most decorated futsal club in Vietnam, while also being the first match for pivo Nguyen Minh Tri after his return to the domestic scene.

Facing the bottom-ranked opponent, the reigning champions quickly showed their superiority. Thinh Phat opened the scoring in the 7th minute before a series of playersfrom Thai Son Nam HCMCadded their names to the scoreboard.

Italo Henrique (Bob), Gia Hung, Thai Huy, Van Hoai, Thanh Phong, Minh Man, and Ngoc Linh each found the net, helping the white-shirted team close the match with a resounding 10-1 victory. The only goal for Luxury Ha Long was scored by Hung Thinh.

The convincing win not only gaveTran Van Vua smooth debut in his new role but also lifted Thai Son Nam HCMC temporarily to second place with 18 points, narrowing the gap with leaders Thai Son Bac.
However, the champions' joy lasted only a few hours as Sahako responded strongly in the evening match. Facing Tre HCMC, Sahako controlled the game early and opened the scoring in the 7th minute through Minh Luong.
The early goal boosted Sahako's confidence. Dang Hung made it 2-0 in the 17th minute before Nie Kdam sealed a 3-0 victory in the final minutes. With this result, Sahako remained second with 19 points, tying with leaders Thai Son Bac and maintaining a one-point gap over Thai Son Nam HCMC.
The title race is thus becoming more exciting as the gap between the top three teams is very tight.Thai Son Bacstill holds the decisive advantage but will face enormous pressure in their clash with Ha Noi on June 22.
Before the second-leg matches, the organizing committee held a ceremony marking 10 years of Voice of Vietnam (VOV) accompanying Vietnamese futsal at the Chanh Hung Ward Futsal Stadium.
Speaking at the event, Mr. Vu Hai Quang, Deputy General Director of VOV, said: “The 10-year journey accompanying Vietnamese futsal has been an emotional chapter for the Voice of Vietnam.
We are proud not only to have contributed to the successful organization of national tournaments but also to have accompanied the development of a sport full of ambition, gradually bringing the image of Vietnamese futsal closer to the public.”
Vice President of the Vietnam Football FederationTran Anh Tuemphasized the role of the domestic league system in the development of Vietnamese futsal: “We have not only reached the Asian Finals but also continued to advance deep, maintaining our position among the continent's top teams.
In particular, the domestic leagues have become an important training ground, helping many young players mature and directly contributing to the national team in recent years.”
