This will be a crucial addition for Hanoi Tasco Auto in the upcoming Hung Vuong Cup 2026.
Setter Dinh Thi Van will join Hanoi Tasco Auto to compete in the Hung Vuong Cup 2026 taking place from April 23 to April 26 at the Phu Tho Provincial Sports Competition Hall.
Dinh Thi Van, born in 2007, is an athlete registered with Bac Ninh. She is regarded as a top promising young setter in Vietnamese women's volleyball, with excellent ball distribution and deceptive playmaking skills.
Before the first round of the 2026 National Club Championship, Hanoi Tasco Auto also strongly desired to register Dinh Thi Van for the tournament squad. However, regulations stipulate that a club in the national A division can only loan a maximum of two players to teams in the National Championship, which resulted in Dinh Van missing the initial stage of Vietnam's top professional volleyball league.
This is because, before Hanoi expressed interest in Dinh Van, Bac Ninh had already loaned two players to National Championship teams earlier. Specifically, Nguyen Van Ha was loaned to VietinBank, and Phan Trieu Vi was facilitated to train at XMLS Thanh Hoa.
Only at the Hung Vuong Cup 2026, where player transfer regulations are more relaxed, the cousin of main attacker Dinh Thi Thuy officially joined Hanoi Tasco Auto on a loan basis.
This is the third loan deal for Hanoi in preparation for the Hung Vuong Cup 2026. Previously, coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet had the services of national team player Nguyen Thi Uyen (LPB Ninh Binh) and young star Nguyen Phương Quynh (VietinBank).
Additionally, there was information that national team player from Germany - Marie Schoelzel joined the team, but Schoelzel only came to Vietnam for tourism, visiting her friend Ivana Vanjak before returning home early this weekend to prepare for the Volleyball Nations League 2026.
With these quality signings, combined with a very strong squad: Le Thanh Thuy, Vi Thi Nhu Quynh, Le Thuy Linh, Nguyen Khanh Dang, etc., who just won all matches in the first round of the National Club Championship, Hanoi Tasco Auto's goal for this year's Hung Vuong Cup is nothing less than the valuable championship title.
