Set 1: Vietnam 25-9 Malaysia
Already guaranteed a spot in the next round as group winners, but Vietnam U18 did not lose their determination. Against a weaker opponent like Malaysia U18, coach Ngoc Hoa's team showed total dominance, superior in both attack and defense, putting immense pressure that caused the opponents to make constant errors. Bao Ngoc and her teammates raced to the finish line, achieving a crushing 25-9 victory in the first set.
Set 2: Vietnam 25-15 Malaysia
An extremely impressive set by Bao Ngoc. The young middle blocker from VTV Binh Dien Long An displayed excellent blocking, smashed the ball through the floor from position 3, and made effective serves, including an ace that brought the decisive point for Vietnam U18.
They slowed down after the dominant first set, and Malaysia U18 also had their opportunities, but overall the match was still completely controlled by coach Ngoc Hoa's team. The 10-point victory in set 2 pushed Vietnam U18 to a 2-0 lead, nearing the overall win.
Set 3: Vietnam 25-12 Malaysia
Coach Ngoc Hoa experimented with tactics in set 3, and although the gameplay wasn't very smooth, it was still enough for Vietnam U18 to leave the opponent far behind. Malaysia U18 couldn't create any surprises as their first touch was poor, and the spikers' approach jumps were too low against our block. Points came continuously, helping Vietnam U18 quickly reach the finish line, thereby achieving an unbeaten record after the group stage of this year's Southeast Asian U18 tournament.
In the end, Vietnam U18 defeated Malaysia U18 3-0 (25-9, 25-15, 25-12).
