On April 21 Beijing time, the seventh round of the Chinese Super League commenced, with five matches concluding overnight. Shenzhen suffered a 0-1 defeat after being dramatically beaten by the powerful Guoan, Chengdu reversed Yunnan 2-1 at home, Wuhan Three Towns cleanly shut out Zhejiang 2-0, defending champion Shanghai Port lost 1-2 to newly-promoted Chongqing, and Tianjin was tragically reversed and beaten 1-2 by Taishan. Consequently, the updated standings are released: Chengdu leads by a 2-point advantage over Chongqing, ranking first, with Yunnan in fourth place.
